COMMENT POLICY
Guidelines for acceptable conduct
This is a resource site that provides information and tools to help with the design, analysis and simulation of building performance. One of the ways to enhance this collective resource is by having dynamic interaction and feedback using open comments. To assure a quality experience for all, this site has a comment policy designed to promote mutual respect and fight against SPAM.
Policy
Whilst we appreciate any comments that you might make anywhere on our site, those comments must follow this comment policy or they will be removed. Continuous abuse of this policy will result in a permanent ban of the IP address, domain and/or the email address generating those comments.
Using a Real Name
We do not allow keywords jammed into the name field. You must use your actual name or a nickname when commenting.
Comments using keywords such as “Web Design Company” or similar will be flagged as SPAM and deleted.
Using a Valid Email
Email addresses are required in order to leave a comment, but are not published on this site nor shared with any other party.
Email addresses that look like SPAM and smell like SPAM will be flagged as SPAM.
Language and Manners
This site is written in English so please leave your comments in English if you can. If not, please at least run your comments
through
Google Translate
and include the English translation. Also, we try to be a friendly
and respectful community on this site, so any comment that includes offensive or inappropriate language, or is considered rude or derogatory
by our moderators, will be edited or deleted.
Adding Value
Any comments that do not add to the conversation, run away on an inappropriate tangent, or are aimed at killing the conversation may be edited or deleted.
All SPAM comments will be deleted because they do not add any value.
Limiting Links
We love references to relevant external resources as they can be really helpful sometimes, but in order to prevent SPAM and assure quality,
we must limit the use of links within comments. Please do not add more than three (3) links in any comment. If you do so, your comment will
be flagged for further review. Also, please DO NOT sign your comments with a backlink to your own site as they will be removed.
No Personal Attacks
Any personal attacks will simply not be tolerated in this site’s comments. You are welcome to question or argue any of the content or concepts
on a page, but not to attack, belittle, shame or be disrespectful of the author or any other commenters. Failure to respect other participants
on this site could result in removal and blocked access.
All Rights Reserved
PerformativeDesign.com and its moderators reserve the right to edit, delete, move or mark as SPAM any and all comments on this site. We also
reserve the right to block access to any individual or group from commenting anywhere in the entire site with just cause.
Hold Harmless
All comments within this site are the responsibility of the commenter and not PerformativeDesign.com or its moderators. By submitting a comment
on our site, you agree that the comment content is entirely your own and you agree to hold PerformativeDesign.com, all subsidiaries of PerformativeDesign.com,
and all representatives of PerformativeDesign.com harmless from any and all repercussions, damages and/or liability.
If you have any questions regarding this policy, you may contact us directly using the site Contact Form.
FAQ
How do I get Support for a Problem?
If you have a question regarding any particular software, concept, process or tutorial, please post a comment below the relevant page.
The comment area is not often the best place to ask questions that are more general in nature or not directly related to the subject of
that particular page. You should ask more general questions using our Contact Form, maybe even suggesting a topic, tool or
definition that you would like added to the site so that you can comment directly on that.
What If My Comment Does Not Appear
If you leave a comment on this site and it does not appear in a reasonable time period (2 business days), and you are pretty sure that
it does not violate this Comment Policy, then please contact us about it using the Contact Form.
Please be aware also that, if your comment contains personal information, or has a personal question specific to the site, we may delete your comment and use your email to respond to you directly.
